Theme:

Connected to the True Vine

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

After over a year of being in an unprecedented pandemic, it is vital for us to nurture our relationship to God and to our brothers and sisters in Christ. During this NYST, we will study how to cultivate our connection to the true vine as the branches and how branches can support one another.

Schedule:

This year’s NYST will begin on Friday evening (September 3) and conclude on Monday evening (September 6). The schedule includes a full day of sessions on Saturday and Sunday (September 4-5). Since this year's NYST is being held online, there are slight differences in the schedule for each time zone.

There are allocated sharing sessions for the NYM committee as well as NYST participants to share about youth projects and programs that may serve as a helpful reference. Please notify the NYM committee if you or your group has anything in particular that you would like to share with other participants.

A formal schedule will be emailed to participants later.

How You Can Prepare:
  • Pray especially for this training seminar.
  • Prepare your hearts to learn and be molded for God's use.
  • Bring any questions you may have about servitude and youth coordination
  • Reflect on experiences that you have had with your youth group or campus fellowship, including strengths as well as areas for improvement or challenges faced in youth or church ministries.
  • Brainstorm some projects or programs that your fellowship group can implement after the NYST. There will be sessions allocated for your fellowship groups to create project/program proposals.
  • If your youth or campus fellowship has any projects that you would like to share with the group, please email nym@tjc.org. Examples include the Queens church street fair and the Dallas outreach ministry. This can help edify other fellowships and allow others to learn from your experience.
Miscellaneous:
  • This year's NYST will utilize Zoom for all sessions.
  • If you have any other concerns or questions, please email nym@tjc.org.
